.Baby on the way.

On a beautiful Friday in August, we headed to Pt. Pleasant to meet up with Amanda, Nicholas, and their lil bun in the oven to shoot some maternity pictures…Pt. Pleasant made for an excellent backdrop, so we went down to the beach for a bit, and then headed up to the boardwalk area for a few more… We tried winning some Angry Birds in the crane game, but alas…we came up empty handed… but something tells me they have a bigger prize that will be here shortly… This was a special maternity shoot for us here at Endless Wave, and I have to say it really stood out in our minds. There was a point where we had asked Nicholas to kiss Amanda’s belly… and after he did, he leaned back and just stood staring at where his daughter was… like a proud father. A smile wrapped around his face, which I can only imagine will grow ever bigger as she does. It was really something amazing to witness. We love what we do and feel lucky that we get to be a part of moments like this… can’t wait to see the new baby!

.Allison and Greg.

Shooting people that are so full of life and happy, and more importantly happy to be with each other always makes my job so easy. This was definitely the case with Alison and Greg. We did their engagement shoot all the way down in DC a while back ( see it here ) They had a heck of a wedding day. Rain in the morning, thunder and lightning during the ceremony, and a wonderful break in the weather for their photo shoot ( MUCH to my delight ). Here’s a bit of the day, enjoy!

.Ashley and Jon.

Jon and Ashley helped us kick off a pretty monumental weekend at Endless Wave, our only triple wedding weekend. What a great way to get our mojo going though! Beautiful people make beautiful pictures, so photographing the two of them was a snap. We’re working hard to get all of our couples back their pictures and films, so I will make this brief. Enjoy!

PHOTOG + CINEMATOG FACE OFF!

Everyone has their own way of booking things for their wedding, so sometimes when people finally get to EWS they have already booked a photographer. Because we have our own photographers the other part of the time they book us for both, which is nice because we are all guaranteed to get our shots during the day. With other companies involved you simply never know how it will work out.

I have had the pleasure of working with a few amazing photographers this year so far, and a few that make me so happy I have my own team here. I have been mistreated several times this year by photographers who don’t even take the time when they show up (about 5-6 hours after me) to introduce themselves. To combat this issue, I really like to call them before the wedding and chat with them about how they shoot and how we shoot. The problem with that is I will leave a message and never get the courtesy of a phone call back. So, as I continue to call them, I think the best way for you to be sure you will get amazing shots from your photographer and EWS, is to let them know who we are and what we do. Tell them that we are interested in making a great film for you and we need to collaborate with them on things such as first looks and ceremonies and even bride and groom prep.

It is so nice when we work with people we really get along with. People we have worked with for years such as Heyn Photography, Berry Photographics, John Arcara and many others. It is of course amazing to have 3 super talented photographers working for EWS now too. We always want the best for each couple and the way to achieve that is to have group of professionals around to help make that happen. Someone who works with us and not against us. So choose every aspect of your wedding wisely and with the thought in mind that, we have to be together ALLLLLLL day long!

I hope this post helps couples with the way they approach their wedding day and maybe they can help educate us about their other professionals too. We do care about them getting their work done correctly and hopefully you all can convey that to them and ask that they make sure to watch a film or check out the photos. We always look into people’s work to see how they shoot, and it is a big help, trust me. Thanks everyone!
