.kelly and nick..the same (freezing cold, rainy, snowy, beautiful) day edit.

ryan and i got on the road at about 5:30am saturday morning, and found ourselves wanting to film a time lapse sequence that was not cooperating, due to the cloud cover. so, we froze our buns off on the beach for a little bit, with rain pelting us, and of course ryan didn’t have a coat..i wasn’t giving mine up either..needless to say, if ryan is not sick tomorrow, he is the hulk. i knew that it was going to be a long day, but i am so glad we did it. ryan and i had so much fun with a nice relaxed morning of driving and shooting. we didn’t even get home till 11:30pm (yes 18 hours).
when we arrived at the salon, kelly had no idea that we had already been working for three and a half hours! we were then able to enjoy the joy of a friend getting married.
kelly’s father, frank, taught me music in high school. he has always treated me so well, and even though he yelled at me all the time (it seemed) we always had a fond respect for one another. frank made me into a better musician, artist and person. thanks to him, i still love playing music..if i find the time between all of the editing!
so, i just want to thank the hughes’ family, and the riker family for letting us be a part of their day.
the rain didn’t stop us, nor the cold. we were able to make amazing things happen, and their sde is a testament of that.
here it is. enjoy.

SHOUTOUT

I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to some of my friends in this industry who have helped make endless wave into what it is today.

Obviously, Sound Connection Entertainment, who we share office space with, and who has been there for much of my career in many ways. Jason Jani has been a great friend, and also helped me grow my business in many ways. I have the luxury now, of being in the same studio, and getting to know his other DJs better and better every day.

Berry Photographics is a photo company in Toms River, and as many of you know, we shared studio space there for about three years. Mike Berry is my friend, and has always done his best to help me as a young business owner to be better at what I do. His kids rock, and I adore them and the relationship they have with their dad. Thanks Mike!

Wedding Maker is a company that you can use to plan your entire day with. Together, Michael and Kristina, and their cute daughter Valerie have developed a company that simply makes wedding planning an absolute MUST for every wedding. Kristina heads up Flowerful Events also, and that is how they provide amazing floral arrangements to all of their couples. They have been my friends for many years now and I am so lucky to know them.

StillMotion…I shouldn’t have to say much more. They are amazing. Without their teaching, and knowledge, I don’t think we would be telling stories in the way that we currently are able to. They have helped me become a true cinematographer and I am forever in their debt for that. I love each of the people who work there. Thanks to P, K, A, J, and even M when he was still there. You guys are amazing.

Heyn Photography are simply great people who take amazing photos! They have been another strong supporter of endless wave for a long time and we appreciate that.

There are many others and I want to say thanks to anyone who has been involved in any way with us over the years. Thank you and my only hope is that endless wave can play a part in your lives, and also help make this industry even better!

.mandi and joe..craziness.

mandi is a friend of mine from school. she actually drove me out to lunch every day (i’m smart for having friends with licenses). we would always go to wendy’s and it was the same lunch for several years. we also got to know the staff there quite well.
mandi and i have stayed in touch over the years since high school, and i was fortunate enough to be a part of her wedding this past weekend. i cannot describe how it feels to be given a chance to make a beautiful film for another one of my high school friends. needless to say, i was excited for the day.
we had perfect weather on saturday, almost a fight between two bridal parties at the location of the photo session, and a person who wanted the bouquet so bad that she ran poor ryan over like a linebacker. we left mandi and joe’s wedding a little banged up, tired from a 15 hour day, happy for our friends on their wedding day, with a giant smile on our faces laughing the whole drive home about what a great day we just had. ryan and i also discussed how terrifying that movie “the strangers” is on the drive home…if you want to see a scary one, see that. we can’t even talk about it without freaking out!
i got sidetracked there. it is 2am right now, so don’t blame me. okay without anymore of my rambling, here is mandi and joe’s highlight film.
enjoy.

.we get paid to do this?

Yesterday 500 brides and their posses descended on the Poland Springs Arena/ Ritacco Center at Toms River High School North for a bridal show put on by Wedding Set Go. So Greg, Ryan, Carmine, and I all headed over to set up a booth. Carmine is a friend of Greg who helped build our display (and it was sah-weet) Both Ryan and I were new comers to Bridal shows, but we had a blast. The title of this entry is “We get paid to do this?” because part of the way through the day I found myself asking that. Not only do I love taking pictures, but I love meeting with and talking to new people. Anyone really within arm’s reach, and we got to meet some really awesome brides to be (and a few of their groom to be counter-parts). The reaction to our material was great, several people returned to the booth multiple times just to see more. It was a great feeling, getting to meet all these new interesting people that we can invest in, and hopefully give them the best possible experience for their wedding day. So if you were there and are reading this, that means you! Call us, really! I’m not kidding!

Ben Out.
