As we rounded out the year with our last wedding, we also kicked off the 2011 wedding season at the same exact time. With about 2 feet of snow on the ground, we set out for an amazing year anding/year beginning wedding. Elissa and Jason, a couple divided only by their hatred for each others’ favorite football team, are a sweet pair. The two are very athletic and proved that in 2010 by entering something called a Tough Mudder. To me, it looks a little crazy, but I am not one to sprint into obstacles like the ones seen on this web site. I get a little sidetracked sometimes, but I must tell you, this amazes me about this couple. This bride is no prissy girl, but she does clean up well. She looked amazing on her wedding day, even though she was still bruised all up because of the Tough Mudder. Jason on the other hand was not bruised that I know of physically, but he definitely was emotionally. He had given a speech the night before the wedding at the rehearsal and apparently got a little emotional and shed a few tears. This is something that I would look at and say it was sweet, but not this Irish crowd. The gang flew in from Ireland and really gave him hell…all day and night. I think that is just their way of showing him their love for him. He has served our country, he has been an honest, good man to a really great girl, and I really enjoyed getting to know this couple, and seeing them in Surf Taco ALL THE TIME!
I told Ryan to get a Same Day Edit ready just for practicing purposes so that he can always be ready to edit them when we need. Ryan regularly helps with almost all of our SDE’s and has a hand in almost every project, but it is good for us all to be able to do them on our own. I never thought that anyone could do a same day edit on their own for the first time this well. I know mine was not nearly as good.
When we got to the reception at The Sheraton Eatontown, we noticed that there were televisions set up for the ball drop. I asked if we could show our SDE and the guys said it wasn’t a problem. That is when we showed this:
