before the ceremony joel and meredith wanted to exchange gifts, and although joel may have had some difficulty wrapping, meredith still loved his gift of course. the weather seemed to let up and the couple wanted to go outside to exchange gifts. their exchange was one of the most emotional i have ever filmed. meredith could hardly contain her emotions, and these emotions became the basis for their same day edit.
