There are many people in the wedding industry that I have a strong respect for. We get to work with these professionals so often that we become friends with them. Marissa Levin from Heyn Photography is one of those people. She is a true professional with talent that is not quite surpassed by her love for shoes, though shoes are a close second to cameras in her love for inanimate objects. She has become a friend to Endless Wave, along with the rest of the Heyn team, and now it was her turn to get married.
When Marissa and Alex approached us, we were naturally very excited, and also humbled that they asked us to film the wedding. Coming up to this wedding, we were able to shoot their Engagement Film, and then the wedding shortly after. The engagement film that we shot is the first of it’s kind from Endless Wave, and let’s just say that without this couple, it wouldn’t have worked. Check out the engagement film below.
On the wedding day (8/28/10) we were able to do their SDE (same day edit). The plan was to approach the SDE with a very open mind. We planned to simply find the story for most of it, instead of having every single detail nailed down before getting there. Usually you just hope things happen in the way you envision it the week before the wedding, but this time I wanted to see if we could do a little improv. Luckily, we did find an amazing story in all the mayhem of a wedding day, and it turned out like this:
